- HOW DOES HORSES SLEEP?
Standing tall and very little!
Many of us seen most of the domestic animals sleeping by lying down on the ground and there would be at least some resemblance of sleeping.
Especially Horses get by with half the sleep a human being requires while standing straight.
This is because in the wild, horses are more vulnerable lying down than while standing up.
So over millions of years their bodies have developed a way of staying upright even when they are asleep.
Although most horses no longer live in the wild, they can still fall asleep as their ancestors used to.
SIMPLE THING, BUT AMAZING ISN’T IT.
